Congratulations to the young athletes who brought home medals from the Grade 7 Yukon Volleyball Championships, held November 17 to 19 in Whitehorse.

Both the boys and girls teams were undefeated during the Friday’s round-robin play and went on to the play-offs on the Saturday.

The boys made it to the bronze medal match where they played a very close match against Christ the King School. The boys took it to a third game and Dawson ended up taking home the medal! Well done, boys!

The girls played two super close matches on Saturday morning to make it to the Gold Medal Match. The girls played amazingly and were narrowly defeated in a nail-biter against Hidden Valley School, 27-25 and 26-24. Well done, girls!
