A golden opportunity to make some $$ this summer and tell stories from our incredible, colourful, quirky community. The Klondike Sun is now hiring for our summer student intern position.
Eligibility 
requirements include:
– Post-secondary education (currently enrolled in a community college or university)
– Experience in research, writing and preparing reports
– Familiarity with CP Style and Canadian Libel Law
– Good communication and organizational skills, creativity, self-motivation and ability to work independently and with little supervision
*The applicant is not required to have a journalism background, although it will be considered an asset. Web skills and social media knowledge will also be considered assets.
The successful applicant will assist in covering local events, writing and filing stories according to deadline, photography, distribution, copy editing and proofing, updating the website and social media sites, archival scanning and general office work.
This 13-week position, 30 hrs/week.
